As an educator, every program and system must be upheld in relation to the standards set by the Department of Education. Since, pandemic became an unprecedented and fortuitous event that reshaped our educational landscape, the schools as the citadel of basic education should logically follow such changes in order to progressively lay efficient and effective instruction. Based on my collective analysis on institutional quality assurance it must coin that standardiz.ation equates the value of quality assurance within and around the institution, it adheres the value of providing unified machinery anchored with the standards and practices set therein. In fact, the school administrators, stakeholders and teaching personnel are responsive to this sudden shift. From physical face-to-face set to distance learning. This coincides that standards to measure among schools specially educators on the ground, should not be compromised. Ascertaining the fact of delivering efficient and effective instruction based on set standards would significantly profound our fulfillment to the mandated responsibilities to which: educate with quality against the verities of individualized existence and conflicts. This notion while enshrining the quality to measure would lay strong foundation that the academe and the systems continually provide quality education services that are properly monitored, evaluated and supervised.


Quality may seem to be very difficult to obtain most especially in teaching and learning processes or in consonance with the instructional dimension of academic institutions. One primary considerations that goes beyond the normal interpretation to quality as perceived by elementary teachers, is the proper discharge of teaching and learning processes while maintaining the very standards set by the Department of Education (DepEd). As to the general point of such standard, under the basic education is to ensure that every learner learns meaningfully which learnings are transferred to his/her daily living. In another view, how does this quality be measured and maintained? There is only one logical answer to this question commonly elucidated by colleagues in the academe, that is to draw teaching practices that are relevant and in consonance with all the criteria, standards, goals and objectives of the school and the department at large. Manifested to this condition is the continuous professional development of teachers such as they pursue graduate studies, attend conferences relevant to their position as teachers, craft innovative instructional materials that would supplement the never-ending needs and demands of learners thus, administer timely research studies to scientifically investigate the prevailing educational condition and phenomenon. These common professional acts of teachers became contributory to elevate the standards of the school and the academic community. Quality denotes meaningful implementation of every program and project being written in the official paper of the department. While, compliance and comprehensive innovation to obtain the latter forms part quality assurance. Fortunately, with the diligence and optimism of all academicians in basic education, quality if not perfectly obtained, is assured to be offered regardless of time constraints and financial limitations.


In the words of Dotong and Laguador (2019) which they discussed that measuring one’s capability to promote excellence is an indicative part and process to meet certain standards in evaluating educational outcomes to which specific level of quality is determined to provide substantial information for the community. Based from the study cited herewith, it is the primordial duty of the academicians to institute excellence by providing sustainable educational programs and projects thereby escalating the spirit of effective and productive instruction among our learners. Indeed, teachers as main implementers of the curriculum regardless of their status as individual persons, continue to thrive and regenerate excellence based on what is needed and demanded by the rapid changing society.
